Introduction to canoeing
The quietest form of game viewing is undoubtedly canoeing. Sitting comfortably in a stable two men inflatable canoe, paddle past herds of elephants wallowing in the river, pods of inquisitive hippos, crocodiles sunbathing on sandbanks, negotiate small but exciting rapids, and search for the rarest birds.
- Pick up 8h30 from your accommodation in Livingstone (extra 15USD per person for pick up from lodges outside of Livingstone)
- Tranfer to the put in point between 20km and 30km upstream from the Victoria Falls depending on Zambezi flow
- Safety briefing, preparation, paddling practice
- Canoe between 8km and 15km depending on the water level of the Zambezi
- Lunch and refreshments beside the river at the take out point
- Transfer back to your accommodation at approximately 13h30
